The Fire Department is responsible for preventing, controlling, and extinguishing fires as well as handling calls to emergency services.
There are currently2 fire stations in Belmont. The headquarters and Fire Prevention Bureau are located at 299 Trapelo Road. The other fire station is located at 99 Leonard St in Belmont Center.
The Chief of the Fire Department is hired by the Board of Selectmen and reports directly to the Board.
