The Concord Ave Water Main Replacement Project has been completed from Pleasant Street to Mill Street. Concord Ave is now open to through traffic. Construction on Concord Ave from Winter Street to the Lexington town line will continue through November weather permitting.
The Department of Public Works Water Division is continuing the water system improvement program with a water main replacement project on Concord Avenue
between Pleasant Street and Robin Wood Road.
Work will be performed by Cedrone Trucking Company under contract with the Town and is planned to start in mid August and continue until the end of November.
Over the next few months Concord Avenue from Pleasant Street to Mill Street
will be closed to through traffic from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM weekdays with access only to abutters.
Generally, at other times Concord Ave. will be open to through traffic. Detour signs will be provided to guide motorists around the work area as necessary.

The Department of Public Works / Water Division is responsible for the distribution of potable water to all properties in Town, all water is purchased from the MWRA. The Water Division maintains the water distribution system, performs all routine and emergency repairs, manages a substantial Water Main Replacement Program and Water Meter Modernization Program. The Water Division is operated as an Enterprise Fund to support services; all functions are funded by user fees not property taxes.
The Water Division is governed by a three-member appointed Water Advisory Board who serve three year terms. Daily operational routines are detailed to the Water Superintendent and staff.
The current water rate is $4.76 per 100 cubic feet of water and there is a minimum $16.44 service charge per quarter. Billing questions should be directed to 617-993-2700 Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to
4:00 pm.
